Scrap Our Stash January Sketch Challenge #22

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's January sketch challenge. For this layout I used paper from Pink Paislee and My Mind's Eye. The paper and exclusive flair button and wood veneer words are from a kit from Paper Camellia. The snowflakes were cut from Spellbinder's Create A Flake 4 &5 dies. I layered a large and small snowflake and couldn't resist adding some Distress Glitter to the smaller one. Soooo cute and sparkly!!

I handcut and rolled spiral roses and added some vellum leaves, which were cut from Tim Holtz's 'Garden Greens' from Sizzix. The stash part of the challenge was to use sequins so I found some older red ones from my stash.

Below is the sketch. I changed up the photo arrangement but other than that I stuck pretty close to the sketch. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

CSI Case File No. 151

Hey everyone. Here's my take on CSI's case file no. 151. The photostrip is of my daughter and her boyfriend. It was taken in Michigan when they went down for alittle shopping. I used pattern paper, word stickers and sequins from the Teresa Collins' 'Daily Stories' collection. The polaroid frame and title were cut using dies from American Crafts. The flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper.

Below are the details for the CSI challenge. The two clues I used from the evidence were string and frame. From the testimony I chose handwrite your story.  Be sure to check out their site. There is a ton of inspiration to be found!! Thanks for stopping by.

123 Get Scrappy #18/ Bobunny January Sketch

Hey everyone. Here's my take on 123 Get Scrappy's challenge #18 and Bobunny's January sketch challenge. From Bobunny I used pattern paper from the 'Powder Mountain' line, along with some double dot cardstock, bling and a doilie. I cut the title out 4 times and then glued the layers together to make a thin "chipboard". I then painted on a very thin layer of gesso and sprinkled some Distress Glitter.

The snowflakes were cut using Sizzix's new 'Stacked Snowflakes' from the Tim Holtz Alterations line. They were cut from a thin chipboard, painted with a couple layers of gesso and sprinkled with Distress Glitter. I tied a little token with the word snowflake to one of the chipboard snowflakes.

After the layout was assembled I brushed some gesso around to soften it up a bit.

For the challenge from 123 Get Scrappy, I used lots of glitter, snowflakes and 3 different patterned papers.

Below is the sketch from Bobunny.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Sketchabilities #130/ CSI Case File No.150

Hey everyone. Happy New Year !!! Hope you all enjoyed your holidays. Here is my take on Sketchabilities sketch #130 and the CSI Case File No. 150 challenge. I used the 'Joyous' collection from My Mind's Eye, which is absolutely beautiful !!!! I added some modelling paste with a Tim Holtz stencil and splattered some distress stain.

I stamped music notes as well as some snowflakes. I also embossed snowflakes using WOW embossing powder.

The flourish was cut using a Sizzix die. Lace ribbon, punched circles, stitching and Doodlebug bling completed the page.

For the CSI challenge, the evidence elements I used were flourishes, holiday accents, ribbon and use heat. The testimony element was document the holidays.

Below is the sketch from Sketchabilities.

Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by.                              Michelle
