Sail into Summer

Hey everyone. Here's a layout based on Creative Scrappers #299 October sketch. The photo is of my niece and some friends/family enjoying the sun, out on her Grampie's boat. The pattern paper, die cut and flair button are from Fancy Pants' 'Nautical' collection. The sequins and wood veneer star bursts are from Studio Calico. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by!!

Big Things

Hey everyone. Here's a layout based on the Bingo challenge this month at Kaiser Craft. It's a picture of my daughter and her big guy doing what they love best. The pattern paper and collectables are all from Kaiser Craft's 'Provincial' collection. The sketch I used happened to be from their August challenge. I was able to do two lines of the challenge. I used fussy cut, mist, flowers and collectables as well as quote, family traditions, gold and collectables. Thanks for stopping by.

Dream Big

Hey everyone. I found some new challenge blogs to take part in, as well as a new kit club. This layout is based on the October Tic Tac Toe challenge at The Studio Challenges, as well as the October sketch at Clique Kits. The pattern paper, flair button and die cuts used are all from Clique kits' September Moon Child monthly kit. Can't wait to see what comes in the next kits!!!! The flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper and the wood veneer was from various manufacturers.

For the Tic Tac Toe challenge I used arrows, thread and flair. Thanks for stopping by!!

A Little Piece of Heaven

Hey everyone. Here's a layout based on Stuck?!Sketches October 15th sketch as well as the October book inspired stash challenge at Scrap Our Stash. The photos are of my daughter and a "few" of her  furry/feathery friends at home. The pattern paper, stickers and wood veneer flowers are from Kaiser Craft. The book cover from Scrap Our Stash inspired me to dig out my Weathered Clock die from Sizzix and to use them as the circular elements on the sketch.

To create the background I dabbed an ink pad a couple times on a piece of plastic packaging, spritzed it with water and then stamped the packaging on the cardstock. Cool effect!! Another part of the stash challenge was to use twine/thread or string on the layout. I used twine and thread.

Make sure to check out the blogs and thanks for stopping by!!

Pumpkin Spice

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Embellishments October challenge and the October 1st sketch at Stuck?!Sketches. The photo is a cup of pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. Fall is my daughter's favorite time of year and this cup of yumminess is one of the reasons why!! Since you can't see the Starbucks on the cup I decided to include one of the cup sleeves. The pattern paper, chipboard frame, diecuts, stickers and brads are all from Simple Stories' 'Pumpkin Spice' collection.
The wood veneer leaves are from CE. I embossed half of the leaves for a cool look.

I was inspired by the pumpkin in the photo from CE. The twist was to use metal so I included some brads. Below are some more close ups as well as the sketch and photo inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.
