Here's my take on the latest challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a>. It is an inspired by a song challenge. I chose Pharrell William's 'Happy' song as my inspiration. I used it as the title for my page and I also added some of the lyrics. I used Simple Stories 'Hello Today' line for this layout. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I then added some stencil stamping as well as regular stamping. I absolutely love this photo of my grandson and daughter. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p>Michelle</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9FbOpkiqpms/YIMQX_nh-yI/AAAAAAAAQxI/zHQufQgZNssolYjL-MCXDqRY7aO1eN7hACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/happy%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9FbOpkiqpms/YIMQX_nh-yI/AAAAAAAAQxI/zHQufQgZNssolYjL-MCXDqRY7aO1eN7hACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/happy%2B3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YE-dY-f3Etw/YIMQYOwD0wI/AAAAAAAAQxM/JjgePvIo290222KP_D3NecL2cDIRUaT7gCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/happy%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YE-dY-f3Etw/YIMQYOwD0wI/AAAAAAAAQxM/JjgePvIo290222KP_D3NecL2cDIRUaT7gCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/happy%2B4.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1AZSb1Vofys/YIMQUsPqLjI/AAAAAAAAQxE/2ve4kVkoSoMZGIR7nN6qfCYSWPrSpXoGQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/happy%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1AZSb1Vofys/YIMQUsPqLjI/AAAAAAAAQxE/2ve4kVkoSoMZGIR7nN6qfCYSWPrSpXoGQCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/happy%2B5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qkYLv5IreFo/YIMQZ-CuBLI/AAAAAAAAQxQ/nLktgGQ7L-kyC-sWQJW1R4v6YHIFEs0aQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/happy%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qkYLv5IreFo/YIMQZ-CuBLI/AAAAAAAAQxQ/nLktgGQ7L-kyC-sWQJW1R4v6YHIFEs0aQCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/happy%2B6.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-53069848786231810782021-04-23T13:57:00.000-04:002021-04-23T13:57:22.261-04:00Under Construction<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9q4mHPuNeIY/YIMGLTLhmdI/AAAAAAAAQv8/cBc_QlDlmDsOa7S5hPtcwlFRG87ja38xQCLcBGAsYHQ/s454/under%2Bconst%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="443" data-original-width="454" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9q4mHPuNeIY/YIMGLTLhmdI/AAAAAAAAQv8/cBc_QlDlmDsOa7S5hPtcwlFRG87ja38xQCLcBGAsYHQ/s16000/under%2Bconst%2B1.JPG" /></a></div><p></p><p>Hey everyone. Here's my take on the April sketch challenge from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a>. The sketch was based on my previous selfie challenge layout. This is how I was told of my daughter's second pregnancy. She took one of Finn's t-shirts that said one kid wrecking crew, scratched out the one with a red marker and added two. It took me a bit to clue in as Finn was running around with the shirt on, but I eventually did. I used Photoplay's 'Little Builder' collection for this page. I thought 'Under Construction' would be a good title for the layout. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then stamped some circles. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p>Michelle</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t5_mks2r504/YIMJ800N2PI/AAAAAAAAQwg/q1SgzsNSlaEe9j5_uS8fxLNi16x1RLpGACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/under%2Bconst%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t5_mks2r504/YIMJ800N2PI/AAAAAAAAQwg/q1SgzsNSlaEe9j5_uS8fxLNi16x1RLpGACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/under%2Bconst%2B3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Mxo1gPXgLUA/YIMKArbyJCI/AAAAAAAAQwo/MUpOowwq32opVlcpmhVkjN-whOIxKOePACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/under%2Bconst%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Mxo1gPXgLUA/YIMKArbyJCI/AAAAAAAAQwo/MUpOowwq32opVlcpmhVkjN-whOIxKOePACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/under%2Bconst%2B4.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6iez3Pvce6o/YIMJ-npvgUI/AAAAAAAAQwk/j5gn8bKH9UAlhhfjyeINsWDt7ihNoDI0QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/under%2Bconst%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6iez3Pvce6o/YIMJ-npvgUI/AAAAAAAAQwk/j5gn8bKH9UAlhhfjyeINsWDt7ihNoDI0QCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/under%2Bconst%2B5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1csmf3C4OM/YIMKB7CHXcI/AAAAAAAAQws/kIwpAN-3PBA2WjQ7RmmItzQInLHeogZzgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/under%2Bconst%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1csmf3C4OM/YIMKB7CHXcI/AAAAAAAAQws/kIwpAN-3PBA2WjQ7RmmItzQInLHeogZzgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/under%2Bconst%2B6.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p><br /></p>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-53354784226568145952021-04-23T13:29:00.000-04:002021-04-23T13:29:07.422-04:00This is What Matters<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fydOfHNwJ5E/YIMAPVoSujI/AAAAAAAAQvc/UmgdhpDVB_Yp6u4NQjJavP6_vWufVZctACLcBGAsYHQ/s461/what%2Bmatters%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="444" data-original-width="461" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fydOfHNwJ5E/YIMAPVoSujI/AAAAAAAAQvc/UmgdhpDVB_Yp6u4NQjJavP6_vWufVZctACLcBGAsYHQ/s16000/what%2Bmatters%2B2.JPG" /></a></div><p></p><p>Hey everyone. I have a challenge to share from March from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges.</a> It's a challenge about new life. I decided to create a page about my daughter and oldest grandson, comparing bellies a few weeks before the birth of her second. I used Jen Hadfield's collection called 'The Avenue'. The doilies were cut from dies from Sizzix by Tim Holtz. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and stencil stamping. Below are some close ups. Here's my take on the colour tic tac toe board at<a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> The Studio Challenges</a>. I went with the teal, grey and pink column. The teal colour I used is a bit darker then the teal on the board. I also used some yellow because of the yellow in my photos. I used Maggie Holmes 'Marigold' line from Crate Paper for this page of my daughter. For the background I mixed some art crayons with water and then applied them with the packaging technique. I then applied some dry art crayon with a stencil brush through a stencil. Lots of splatters were then added. Below are some close ups. This week at<a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> The Studio Challenges </a>there is a selfie
challenge. I don't know about you,</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">but I am rarely in any of the layouts
I create. I am usually the one behind the camera (if not stealing
photos off my daughter/niece's phones) so it's nice from time to time to
create a page with me in it. I recently took an on line photography class, and snapped these selfies of myself and faithful companion Beau, while trying out the tips I learned. I used two lines from Carta Bella called 'Let It Snow' and 'Cabin Fever'. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and allowed some of the ink to drip. I then stamped some snowflakes with the same ink and misted the stamp with some water. I love the effect this creates. I would also like to welcome the newest members of the our design team. This week's challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a> is a handwritten journaling challenge. I usually handwrite my journaling, but I know a lot of people don't. I used Echo Park Paper's 'Little Lumber Jack' collection for this page of my grandson exploring outside. It was the perfect line to use. Below are some close ups. Happy New Year!! I have the first challenge of the year from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a> to share with you today. This first challenge is a pretty easy one. You are to use old and new products on your page. For the something new I used Simple Stories' latest fall collection called 'Cozy Days'. For the something old I used hemp, staples and a stamp I have had forever. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I then stamped some dots. I misted the stamp with water before stamping. I love the effect this creates. We are currently looking for some more design team members. A blog is not necessary. Check out <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/2021/01/the-studio-challenges-design-team-call.html" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges blog</a> for all the info. Here's the last challenge of the year from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a>. It was a year in review challenge. 2020 was an especially hard year for our family so I decided to create a page of the best thing that happened. The addition of our sweet, precious Felix. I used paper and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla's 'Daydream' line and fussy cut all the moths. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p>Michelle</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3dTpr2oURSE/X-eP76enNJI/AAAAAAAAO8Y/RUW_Xjdcruww1p52WBy0f9dCqP7BzppAACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/fantabulous%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3dTpr2oURSE/X-eP76enNJI/AAAAAAAAO8Y/RUW_Xjdcruww1p52WBy0f9dCqP7BzppAACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/fantabulous%2B3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GqhB0he9YwM/X-eP82fRPUI/AAAAAAAAO8c/_yy6DdeZclckPF1IrfGHsS1Yr301Zy_VgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/fantabulous%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GqhB0he9YwM/X-eP82fRPUI/AAAAAAAAO8c/_yy6DdeZclckPF1IrfGHsS1Yr301Zy_VgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/fantabulous%2B4.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oKMyQFpL4FA/X-eP7D-hIyI/AAAAAAAAO8U/Q3eurKc-V1ksXrQk1tOM70JzvrMM-ifwwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/fantabulous%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oKMyQFpL4FA/X-eP7D-hIyI/AAAAAAAAO8U/Q3eurKc-V1ksXrQk1tOM70JzvrMM-ifwwCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/fantabulous%2B5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-54168391734152152352020-12-26T13:42:00.001-05:002020-12-26T13:43:11.227-05:00Sweet<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iozV_ohrIF4/X-dcN9XERBI/AAAAAAAAO7Y/nCyM0OYzIYQMl_kT-2ge5oSW3nLNCF-FgCLcBGAsYHQ/s437/sweet%2B2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="432" data-original-width="437" height="395" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iozV_ohrIF4/X-dcN9XERBI/AAAAAAAAO7Y/nCyM0OYzIYQMl_kT-2ge5oSW3nLNCF-FgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h395/sweet%2B2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> <p></p><p>Hey everyone. Merry Christmas!!! I'm really late posting this one. It's from a DT scrap lift challenge from November 29th at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a>. I decided to scrap lift a layout from Rainny featuring a large rainbow. I chose pattern paper with alot of smaller rainbows and fussy cut them out. The page is one of my grandson, nice and sqeaky clean from a bath. He's so sweet and precious. I used paper and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla's 'Daydream' collection. Close ups and the page I scrap lifted are below. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p>Michelle</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1280" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pf8ANW8PgrA/X2bC-Jh3ufI/AAAAAAAAIZk/Z2FWDT2MWWoHIO5_H5ZwJaJGC7b5WPoTgCLcBGAsYHQ/w320-h320/20200920.jpg" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 1px solid rgb(238, 238, 238); box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1) 1px 1px 5px; padding: 5px; position: relative;" width="320" /> </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BUsNjCl42Q0/X-eDknrZc9I/AAAAAAAAO70/zJnBlO3dJMowFbRln0ekmOzaYL7j21FOACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/sweet%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BUsNjCl42Q0/X-eDknrZc9I/AAAAAAAAO70/zJnBlO3dJMowFbRln0ekmOzaYL7j21FOACLcBGAsYHQ/w320-h240/sweet%2B3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EPzBUxBkjzY/X-eDjUbS7UI/AAAAAAAAO7w/3VCzYdXgDQ0w3JtArExOGEGTveIKnI26ACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/sweet%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EPzBUxBkjzY/X-eDjUbS7UI/AAAAAAAAO7w/3VCzYdXgDQ0w3JtArExOGEGTveIKnI26ACLcBGAsYHQ/w320-h240/sweet%2B4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B6OnRW86wpM/X-eDlVvmT_I/AAAAAAAAO74/KR9TmFWpVywSyJ8GOOCFd2ZyjAEb9BHtwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/sweet%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B6OnRW86wpM/X-eDlVvmT_I/AAAAAAAAO74/KR9TmFWpVywSyJ8GOOCFd2ZyjAEb9BHtwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/sweet%2B5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /> </span></div><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><br /></p>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-52706128089298092502020-11-15T22:33:00.000-05:002020-11-15T22:33:29.149-05:00Family<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ILjAfS0SKIo/X7Hwc5cyZII/AAAAAAAAOkY/QnbjveK4JXgEct3Rhi_R3JkSXVqDmzZnQCLcBGAsYHQ/s445/family%2B1%2B%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="445" data-original-width="440" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ILjAfS0SKIo/X7Hwc5cyZII/AAAAAAAAOkY/QnbjveK4JXgEct3Rhi_R3JkSXVqDmzZnQCLcBGAsYHQ/s16000/family%2B1%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a></div><br /> Hey everyone. I love pattern paper, so this weeks challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a> was especially fitting. You were to use at least 5 different pattern papers on your layout. I was able to use 8. I used an older collection from Fancy Pants, called 'Golden Days'. For the background I applied some watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then applied some ink through a stencil with a blending tool. The photo is one my daughter took at Thanksgiving dinner last year. Below are some close ups . Here's my take on this month's sketch challenge from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a>. I used an older collection from Echo Park Paper called 'Grandson'. This line was perfect for this page of my two adorable grandsons. Lots of stars and some staples finished off the layout. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Happy Sunday. There's a stash busting challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">The Studio Challenges</a> today. You are to use your older stash. The older the better. I found a collection from Fancy Pants from 2014 called 'Flutter'. It matched my photo perfectly and the flair button made the best title. I tried something different for the background this time. I took some distress oxide pads and stamped them directly on the background. I then misted them with quite a bit of water and then soaked up the water with paper towel. I then stamped on the darker pink and added a few splatters. Very cool technique and sooo easy. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p> Michelle</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_ge8_MVnJgc/X2a4CmxxrAI/AAAAAAAANQ8/4tpUN7mzT_k03H0fg0ZuJeFzx9SHBQJwQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/real%2Blife%2B3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_ge8_MVnJgc/X2a4CmxxrAI/AAAAAAAANQ8/4tpUN7mzT_k03H0fg0ZuJeFzx9SHBQJwQCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/real%2Blife%2B3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wzJfdlRG7GE/X2a4BEzqH-I/AAAAAAAANQ0/yxr5wAnf5qAqlE7Wy2kWd-UxX5f_vFQzgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/real%2Blife%2B4.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wzJfdlRG7GE/X2a4BEzqH-I/AAAAAAAANQ0/yxr5wAnf5qAqlE7Wy2kWd-UxX5f_vFQzgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/real%2Blife%2B4.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7a-nTYZGXMI/X2a4Bg9YwcI/AAAAAAAANQ4/DJSTjruvMNwTeK25TM6eTYnNwZnM2PIiACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/real%2Blife%2B5.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7a-nTYZGXMI/X2a4Bg9YwcI/AAAAAAAANQ4/DJSTjruvMNwTeK25TM6eTYnNwZnM2PIiACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/real%2Blife%2B5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /> <br /><p></p>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-63652974438289594182020-09-19T19:21:00.002-04:002020-09-19T19:32:55.309-04:00Sweet Baby Boy<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qYEv7IA3wxk/X2aP42kCjFI/AAAAAAAANP8/AeSAkmUmb2wQ6OjqtnEyCbYKNcKSRozqgCLcBGAsYHQ/s458/baby%2Bboy%2B2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="451" data-original-width="458" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qYEv7IA3wxk/X2aP42kCjFI/AAAAAAAANP8/AeSAkmUmb2wQ6OjqtnEyCbYKNcKSRozqgCLcBGAsYHQ/s16000/baby%2Bboy%2B2.JPG" /></a></div><p></p><p>Hey everyone. I have a recipe challenge from <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/">The Studio Challenges</a> to share with you. I was able to use all the items which were tags (behind the photo), a stamp (dots and alphabet), 3 or more patterned papers, a punch (scallop border), washi tape and puffy stickers (word and alphas). I used Echo Park Paper's 'Baby Boy' collection for this page of the first photo of my new grandson. So excited to have this little sweetie join the family. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then stamped with the ink. Below are some close ups. Here's the second case file I solved as a Special Investigator with the CSI team. It's case file #328. From the evidence elements I used plain card stock, summer or beach themed elements, circular elements and signs. From the testimony elements I used the topic to document a visit to a body of water and relax from the inspiration words. I used the 'Sunshine & Blue Skies' collection from Simple Stories for this page of my grandson enjoying a beautiful summer day at my brother's pool. The cut file was from Cut To You. Check out the CSI blog <a href="http://csichallenge.blogspot.com/2020/08/august-case-files-mid-month-inspiration.html">HERE</a>. Below is the case file and some close ups. I'm super excited to announce that I was asked to be a Special Investigator on the CSI team for the month of August. You can check out their blog post <a href="http://csichallenge.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2020-08-13T18:57:00-04:00&max-results=1&start=1&by-date=false">HERE</a>. The first case I solved was case file # 327. I used the 'On Our Way' collection from Fancy Pants for this page. From the evidence elements I used stripes, map print, grid pattern, check pattern, cork, travel themed elements, metal, sunglasses, cursive font, camera and borders. From the testimony elements I used the outing topic. Make sure to check out their blog. There is a TON of inspiration from the design team and the creative possibilities are endless with their challenges. Below are some close ups and the case file # 327. Thanks for stopping by.</p><p>Michelle</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FLV2gMgyL9g/XzhBFjoKOuI/AAAAAAAANG4/C6JAdW3O8AUBECG6kdpJofGQ60H6fTxZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/anywhere%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="246" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FLV2gMgyL9g/XzhBFjoKOuI/AAAAAAAANG4/C6JAdW3O8AUBECG6kdpJofGQ60H6fTxZgCLcBGAsYHQ/w328-h246/anywhere%2B3.JPG" width="328" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2uzGJamMLBI/XzhBGfH6s5I/AAAAAAAANG8/kMFirVkNAiYWpWAs1McKAHK-56v7qmDKgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/anywhere%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="246" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2uzGJamMLBI/XzhBGfH6s5I/AAAAAAAANG8/kMFirVkNAiYWpWAs1McKAHK-56v7qmDKgCLcBGAsYHQ/w328-h246/anywhere%2B4.JPG" width="328" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UauwxXvgne0/XzhBKh0_DuI/AAAAAAAANHE/qqiai18pCE8zk3wWYAU-e4neZcmkYGCyACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/anywhere%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="246" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UauwxXvgne0/XzhBKh0_DuI/AAAAAAAANHE/qqiai18pCE8zk3wWYAU-e4neZcmkYGCyACLcBGAsYHQ/w328-h246/anywhere%2B6.JPG" width="328" /></a><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fp3sUMtO340/XzhBIrU9WJI/AAAAAAAANHA/CuwWNL8IILg6_JZkhRzU57Cvq6h-3LIgwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/anywhere%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="246" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fp3sUMtO340/XzhBIrU9WJI/AAAAAAAANHA/CuwWNL8IILg6_JZkhRzU57Cvq6h-3LIgwCLcBGAsYHQ/w328-h246/anywhere%2B5.JPG" width="328" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UauwxXvgne0/XzhBKh0_DuI/AAAAAAAANHE/qqiai18pCE8zk3wWYAU-e4neZcmkYGCyACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/anywhere%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1020" data-original-width="1600" height="326" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VkYqgExZPKc/XyNAoOwL6XI/AAAAAAAA-9w/Va6xcUueIqwbapvtsrEa-dkv6C2SDjCngCLcBGAsYHQ/w512-h326/327.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>Michelle Mattiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12484794437581504040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8375891357888964762.post-65569991969896504622020-07-26T04:00:00.000-04:002020-07-26T04:00:07.492-04:00Honey Bee<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hey everyone. For this week's challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/">The Studio Challenges</a> you were to use stamps as the main feature on your layout. I stamped flowers using distress oxide ink and then using a water brush I blended out the colour. I am really loving this technique. I also stamped the word phrases. I used the 'Wild Honey' collection from PhotoPlay for this page of my niece and one of our dogs. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.<br />

Hey everyone. I have my take on this week's challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/">The Studio Challenges</a> to share with you today. It's a mood board challenge. I had been wanting to create a layout with these photos and paper line for awhile now, and the mood board matched perfectly. I used Pinkfresh Studio's 'Noteworthy' collection for this page of my grandson, niece and nephew. They has such a blast that day. For the background I tried a new technique from Missy Whidden. I first applied watered down distress oxide with the packaging technique. I then stamped some snowflakes with distress oxide and using a water brush I moved alot of the colour around for a more water colour effect. Love how it turned out and can't wait to try this with some floral stamps. The cut file was from Kim Watson, created for Hip Kit Club. Below are some close ups and the mood board. Thanks for stopping by.<br />

Hey everyone. There's a slanted challenge at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/">The Studio Challenges</a> today where you are to use slants and angles on your pages. I cut the background paper on a slant and tilted the butterflies on my page. If you look closely the stencil pattern on the background is also slanted. I used the Vintage Great Escape collection from Simple Stories for this layout of my grandson. He loves to be outside. There is a little brook beside his house that he loves to through rocks and sticks in for his dog to fetch. For the background I applied a few layers. The first was watered down distress ink applied with the packaging technique. I then stencil stamped with distress paint and stamped with distress ink. Finally I added lots of splatters.Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.<br />

Hey everyone. I have my take on the June sketch at <a href="http://thestudiochallenges.blogspot.com/">The Studio Challenges</a> to share with you today. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the right. I used the 'Hey, Crafty Girl' collection from Simple Stories for this page of a crafty weekend I spent with some friends. There was a day of classes taught by Vicki B at My Stamping Studio. We had such a great time. Lots of fun and inspiration. There are several layers on the background. I first applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I then watered down some distress paint and applied it by stamping with a stencil. I then added splatters with the paint and another colour of distress ink. Finally I stamped with a script stamp using distress ink and added black splatters. The colour is very light so it's hard to see. The cut file I used was from Vicki B. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.</div>
