Creative Scrappers #260

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrappers's sketch #260. I used Carta Bella's 'So Noted' paper collection. Love the soft colors in this line. Its one of my favorites. I followed the sketch pretty closely for this layout. The floral die is from Memory Box and the pearls are from Kaiser Craft. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Sketchabilities #107

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Sketchabilities sketch #107. Just getting it in under the wire!!
For the background I put some distress stain in a mini mister, sprayed it and then wiped it with a damp paper towel. Once dry I then added some more splatters. The pattern paper and trinket is from one of Bobunny's older Christmas lines called 'Blitzen'. Some modelling paste chevrons, stitching, hemp, pearls and staples finished off the layout. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

PageMaps Scraptastic Kit Club Sketch Contest

Hey everyone. Here's my entry to PageMaps newest sketch contest. The picture is of my daughter and one of her good friend's son. I used Echo Park Paper's 'All About A Boy' paper line. I also used some of Tim Holtz's industrious stickers. I used one of the star border strips and some arrows. I covered the arrow that was already on the spinner with a sticker and stitched it with some floss. The three spinners are popped up. I finished off the page with some stitching and distress stain splatters. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Creative Scrappers #259/1~2~3 Get Scrappy Challenge #6

Hey everyone. I'm doing double duty with this layout. Here is my take on Creative Scrappers sketch #259 and 1~2~3 Get Scrappy's challenge #6. For 1~2~3 Get Scrappy's challenge I picked tear the edges, old book page and snow flakes. I tore the two longer strips on the top and bottom of the layout. The snowflakes were cut from vellum and silver mini pearls were attached to the centers. For the old book page, I actually found Christmas in an old dictionary and included that in the layout. I used pattern paper and letter stickers from Authentique's 'Joyous' collection. Very vintagey and perfect for a picture of my grandparents at Christmas many years ago. If you are not familiar with either of these blogs, you should click on the links and check them out. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

My Mind's Eye December Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone. Here's my submission to My Mind's Eye December Sketch Challenge. The pattern paper, washi tape and enamel dots are all from the 'Mistletoe Magic' collection. I used Ranger's dylusions ink spray for the splatters. Using circle punches from EK Success, I punched different size circles from pattern paper. I then painted some gesso on Santa's hat, beard, the snowflakes and tops of the number 25. I then sprinkled some distress stickles dry glitter on them. Very cute effect. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.              ~Michelle

Sketchabilities #106

Hey everyone. Here is my take on Sketchabilities #106 sketch. I used last years' winter collection by Bobunny, 'Powder Mountain'. One of my scrapping resolutions for this year is to try and create at least one layout a month using supplies from my stash. I was able to create this layout from my stash. Not as difficult as I thought!! The snowflakes were cut using Spellbinders' Create-a-Flake Five dies. I then painted them with gesso and sprinkled some distress stickles dry glitter on them. Love how they turned out. I used punches from EK success to create the borders. The splatters were created with chipped sapphire distress stain. The bling was from Doodlebug Design and the pearls from Forever in Time. The font was cut from my Slice machine. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!
