Love Grows Best

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the October sketch at My Creative Scrapbook. I used pattern paper, ephemera and wooden spools from the 'Magnolia Moments' collection from Fancy Pants.  For the background I applied watered down distress ink with a brayer. This is the first time I used a brayer, and I really love how it turned out. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Thankful

Hey everyone. I have a layout to share based on the October mood board at Cuts2Luv. The photos are of my daughter and her little family, out for a walk around our property. I used 'The Yellow Door' collection for this page. It's Fancy Pants' newest line. Kinda funky, but I like it !! For the challenge you are to pick at least 2 items from the mood board and use a Cuts2Luv product. I used the sketch and lace embellishment from the mood board, and included a today flair button from Cuts2Luv. Below are some close ups and the mood board. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Little Prince

Hey everyone. I’m back with another Blend-A-Sketch challenge from Scrap Our Stash. I love both sketches and wanted to use as much as possible from both, so I simply took the right sketch and added it to the background of the left sketch. I also added a cluster at the bottom for a bit of journaling. For the stash part of the challenge I used some diagonal striped paper as a layer under my photos. I used Echo Park Paper's 'Once Upon a Time' collection for this layout of my grandson overlooking his kingdom. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful

Hey everyone. I have my take on the October sketch at Sketchabilities to share today. I used Pink Paislee's 'Auburn Lane' collection for this layout of my daughter. For the background I painted on several layers of watered down distress ink, with a wide flat brush. Really love how it turned out. I then splattered more distress ink and stain around the page. Below is the sketch and some close ups. Make sure to check out the blog for a ton of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Simple & Sweet

Hey everyone. I have my take on the October Golden Globe Stash Challenge at Scrap Our Stash to share with you today. The movie Sing is one of my grandson’s favourite movies. He loves music and animals. This challenge inspired me to create a layout of Finn relaxing at home and watching Sing. For the stash part of the challenge I added bling to the center of the lemon slices and scattered some around the page. I used Pink Fresh Studio's 'Simple & Sweet' line for this layout. I love the soft colors in this collection. For the background I used Vicki Boutin's art crayons from American Crafts. These are quickly becoming my go to for creating backgrounds. It's so easy to mix the colors to achieve the color you are looking for. Love them!! Below is the challenge and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.
