Hello Winter

Hey everyone. I have my take on the first Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I went with the left side. I used Echo Park Paper's 'A Perfect Winter' collection for this layout of my niece, posing on New Year's Eve. The cut file was a freebie from Jillibean Soup. For the background I applied modelling paste through a stencil and then added watered down distress ink. I sprayed a little water also to allow the ink to spread out. For the stash portion you were to use flowers. I added some flower stickers as well as using pattern paper with flowers. I was also inspired by the Cuts2Luv January challenge. You were to pick 2 elements from the mood board. I picked three. They were badge:snowflake, picture:winter and technique:layering. Below are the challenges and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely Day

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the December 30th sketch at The Studio Challenges. I used 'The Yellow Door' collection from Fancy Pants for this layout of my niece. She's growing up so fast. The background was inspired by a Friday Night Live by Vicki Boutin. I applied watered down art crayons to the background and then stamped some circles with a styrofoam cup. I mixed some art crayons together to achieve the color I was looking for. I then watered down some of Vicki's acrylic paint and stamped some circles using a piece of bubble wrap. Love how it turned out. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Dear Guinny

Hey everyone.  I’m back with my take on another great stash challenge from Scrap Our Stash. I did actually use my stash on this one, which is always nice. The collection I used was 'Snow Patrol' from Simple Stories. From the Saturday Cartoons challenge I was inspired by the dog and the word friends. I added a few extra elements to the sketch. For the 3+ stars, I used 3 small star stickers that was on the sticker sheet from the kit I used. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by!!

Twinkle Lights

Hey everyone. Happy New Year!! I have a layout to share that is based on the December sketch at My Creative Scrapbook. I absolutely love this sketch by Laura Whitaker, and couldn't wait to develop some Christmas pictures and play. I used an older Fancy Pants Christmas line called 'Holiday Hustle' for this page of my grandson checking out the ornaments on the tree. Below is the sketch and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by!!
