Sketchabilities #111

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Sketchabilities sketch #111. I used some scraps from Fancy Pants 'Papa' collection. This was one of their older collections. Using Tim Holtz's honeycomb stencil, I inked a honeycomb pattern around the page. I then splattered, dabbed and stamped using distress stain. Once the pattern papers were attached I stencilled some modelling paste in a few spots. I used a printed paper bag from my LSS to make some spiral flowers and layered a piece behind the solid colored file tab. The heart and greenery were cut using Sizzix dies. Some hemp, stitching and a metal word stick completed the page. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Sketchabilities #110

Sketchabilities

Hey everyone. Here's my take on sketch #110 from Sketchabilities. I used a very old paper line I had sitting around from Chatter Box. The colors went perfectly with my picture and the Distress Stains I used. I poured stain into mini misters and sprayed this around the page. I took the top off and flicked it around to create splatters. I then took the dabber and made larger splatters on the page. Last but not least I dabbed the bottom of a stryrofoam cup and stamped some circles. Using distress ink pads I inked around the edges of the page. The burlap heart was cut using one of Tim Holtz's Mover and Shaper dies. The burlap scallop border was hand cut. The little blue flower was made from several punched flowers using an EK Success punch. I found the technique on Pinterest. The doilie was from Bobunny.  Some stitching and buttons completed the page. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.
