Thankful

Hey everyone.  Here's a layout I created of some ladies, I am very thankful to have met, through this wonderful hobby. A group of us attended a crop, and decided to get some shirts made. We had a blast!! Lots of laughs, and we even got some work done.  For this layout, I incorporated 3 different challenges. Scrap Our Stash's July stash challenge was to include an item from your stash for each letter in the word PHOTOS. I used the following:

P: Picked Raspberry Distress Spray, Paste (modelling)
H: Hemp, 'hello'
O: Orange
T: Ticket, 'Thankful'
O: October (when we attended the crop)
S: Stencil, Stitching, Splatters

For 123 Get Scrappy's July challenge I used, the word:hello, butterfly and lots of black. The Studio Challenges challenge was to make your own embellishment. I made the pink flower.

The pattern paper, flair button and ticket were all from Fancy Pants' 'Meology' collection.  The wood veneer butterfly and arrows were from Studio Calico.

For the background, I first covered the cardstock with a layer of gesso. Once dry I applied some modelling paste through a Prima stencil. I then brushed on some watered down distress stain and spray. Last but not least, I added some splatters and stitching.

Be sure to check out the challenge blogs. Lots of inspiration to be found.  Thanks for stopping by.
