Travel Guide

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 15th sketch challenge. Last fall my daughter and her boyfriend visited a local wildlife park with a little friend. They were able to feed many of the birds, including this beautiful peacock. Another check off the bucket list!! The pattern paper and diecuts used were from Crate Paper's 'Open Book' collection. I found instrutions to make the hemp flower on Pinterest. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Best Day

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's Sketch + 3 March challenge. The items I used were gold, Heidi Swapp, hot pink and ink. The photos are of my daughter's neighbors at Build A Bear. This was their Christmas present from my daughter and to say they enjoyed themselves would be an understatement. The pattern paper, diecuts and brads were from My Mind's Eye 'Jusy Saying' collection. For the background I added some distress ink through a stencil. I then sprayed it with alittle water to get a mottled look. Once dry I then splattered distress spay and color shine. Really like how it turned out.

Below are some close ups and the sketch + 3 challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 1st sketch and Creative Embellishment's March challenge. The elements of CE's picture that inspired me were the circles, the water color background and the splatter look to the background. The twist was to tell/show why I am lucky. The photo is of my daughter, when she was out visiting family in BC. I am so very lucky to have her in my life. The chipboard elements I used from CE were the circle under my photo and the title. The pattern paper and element stickers were from Carta Bella's ' Travel Stories' collection. Below are some close ups, the sketch and picture inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Dream

Hey everyone. This is my take on Scrap Our Stash's March book inspired stash challenge. I was inspired by part of the title of the book, the banner and the color pink. We were to also use gold alphas and /or gold embellishments. I used gold thickers for my title and also scattered some gold art glitter around the page.

For the background I sprayed some Spun Sugar Distress Stain, and then some water. I then stenciled with Antique Linen Distress Ink. It's very hard to see these soft colors in the photos, but trust me when I say that the result is very delicate and pretty.

The pattern paper and diecuts used were from Crate Paper's 'Open Book' collection. The woodgrain sequins and wood veneer birds were from Studio Calico.  The sketch I used was an older one from Stuck?!Sketches (January 2015). Thanks for stopping by.
