On the Farm

Hey everyone. Here's my take on this month's Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I picked the right side and used enamel dots for the stash portion of the challenge. I used the 'Down on the Farm' collection from Echo Park Paper. I just love these photos of my grandson exploring. I'm so glad he has a little farm to grow up on. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Be Wild, Be Free, Be You

Hey everyone. Happy Easter. I have my take on a word challenge at The Studio Challenges to share with you today. For the challenge you were to use a scrappy item for each letter in the word spring. I used the following items:

S - stencil, stickers, stitching, stars
P - pattern paper, paper clips
R - red
I - ink
N - notebook punch
G - gesso

I used the 'Lil Dude' collection from Simple Stories for this page of my grandson and his Dad. For the background I applied some watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then added some through a stencil. Splatters were added at the end. Below are some close ups. Be sure to check out TSC blog for a ton of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Warm Hearts

Hey everyone. Hope you are enjoying the long weekend and were able to squeeze in a little crafting. I found this great sketch by Suzanna Lee on the Scrapbook Your Joy Inspirational Group on Facebook. I used the 'Snowball Fight' collection from Photoplay for this page of my daughter and grandson, all bundled up in the snow. The snowflakes were a cut file from Paige Evans. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Harper

Hey everyone. I have a layout to share with you today that's inspired by two Facebook challenges. The first is a sketch challenge from Sketchy Boards Challenge. You were to also use butterflies and add some journaling. The second was a moodboard challenge from the Scrapbook Nerd friends group. I used Jillibean Soup's 'Garden Harvest' collection for this page. This line is so beautiful. I debated for sometime on whether or not to purchase this collection. Am I ever glad I did!! For the background I added some watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I also added some stencilling and stamping. Below are some closeups and the challenges. Thanks for stopping by.

It's a Boy's World

Hey everyone. I have my take on the Saturday Cartoon Challenge from Scrap Our Stash to share with you today. I was inspired by Bedtime Bear, who is blue and has a star and a moon on his tummy. I used Simple Stories' 'Lil Dude' line for this page of my grandson on a 4 wheeler. I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then stamped a bit on the background. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Just Go

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the April sketch at The Studio Challenges. I used Simple Stories' 'Simple Vintage Traveller' collection for this page of my daughter. She travels a lot for her job, and this winter experienced quite a few delays while flying. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique, and then stamped some circles with a styrofoam cup. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.
