Making It Up As I Go
Hey everyone. Here's my take on the June challenge at Sketchy Boards Challenge. I used Crate Paper's 'All Heart' collection for this page. From the mood board I was inspired by the flowers and the colour pink. For the background I painted water colour markers on with a large flat brush. I then stitched around it a few times and splattered some watered down silver glaze. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Our Nest Is So Blessed
Hey everyone. This month there are 3 challenges at The Studio Challenges blog. This one is a tic-tac-toe challenge. I went with the middle vertical column. Blue, fussy cutting and 3 photos. I also managed to use enamel dots, polka dots and striped pattern paper. I used Simple Stories 'Spring Farmhouse' line for this page of my daughter and grandson feeding the chickens. He is such a little farmer. So sweet!! I used watered down distress ink for the background. Below are some close ups and the tic-tac-toe board. Thanks for stopping by.

Color Outside the Lines
Hey everyone. I have my last reveal for the Scrap Our Stash design team to share with you today. It's for the June Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge. I went with the right side of the sketch. I layered polka dot paper behind two of my photos and added number stickers as well. I used Vicki Boutin's 'Color Kaleidoscope' collection. When I saw the pen and pencil ephemera and the color outside the lines tag, I knew I had to use it for this layout. I also used her watercolor markers and silver glaze for the background. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Best Friend
Hey everyone. I have a layout to share with you today that is based on the June challenge at Scrap the Boys. The challenge was to create a layout of his best friend, of the furry variety. Finn has quite a few furry friends, but I would have to say that Lenny is his best friend. Never far from his side and always looking for head butts, Lenny is a great kitty. I used an older collection from Fancy Pants called 'Good Fellows' for this page. Watered down art crayons were used on the background. Below is the challenge and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Next Chapter
Hey everyone. There's a fun challenge over on The Studio Challenges blog today. You are to use bows and tassels on your layout. I found a piece of ephemera that had a tassel. I attached another tassel to it that I made from embroidery floss. I tied a bow made from the same floss to a tag and I also made a paper bow from a Sizzix die. I used Pinkfresh Studio's 'Let Your Heart Decide' collection for this page of my niece. It's so hard to believe she is graduating this month. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I allowed some of it to drip in spots. I also added splatters with the distress ink and gold colour shine. This layout was also inspired by a sketch from Page Drafts. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by!!

You Are My Happy
Hey everyone. Here's my take on this month's Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. For the yellow part of the challenge I added yellow ink to the background and used yellow pattern paper as well as some yellow embellishments. For the square part I added 2 square stickers. This was truly a stash challenge as I used a collection from 2014!! It was a line from Teresa Collins called 'Daily Notes'. I added watered down yellow distress ink to the top part of my page and a light green water colour marker to the bottom portion. It's very faint but it's there. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
