Shadow

Hey everyone. Here's a layout based on Creative Scrappers sketch #297 and Creative Embellishments August challenge. The photo is of Shadow, the first foal born at our farm. The pattern paper and letter stickers used were from Photo Plays' 'Fresh Picked' collection. The flowers were made using Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies. The chipboard flourish and wood veneer heart were from CE. I embossed the flourish. The little burlap flowers were handcut and rolled. For CE's challenge, the field in the background of the photo reminded me of the field at our farm. The twist was to use something circular so I used a doilie from Bobunny, half pearls and added some splatters. Below are some close ups, the sketch and photo challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Go Jays

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created for Stuck?!Sketches August 1st challenge and Scrap Our Stash's August book inspired stash challenge. The pattern paper, flair button, puffy stickers and small tag were all from Fancy Pants' 'Attwell' collection. The decorative paper clip was from Freckled Fawn. I was inspired to do a travel layout by the map on the book cover. The large hand reminded me of the foam fingers you sometimes see at sporting events, so I created a layout of when my daughter and her boyfriend travelled to Toronto to see her first Jays' game. You also had to use a decorative paper clip as part of the challenge. Below are some close ups, the stash challenge and sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Live Everyday

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches August 15th challenge. I must say that I really love how this turned out. The pattern paper was from Carta Bella's beautiful 'Old World Travel' line. The flowers and clock embellishments were made using Heartfelt Creations products.

For the background I tried something alittle different. To make the large watercolor areas, I stamped an ink pad on a stamp block, spritzed it with water and then stamped the block on the layout. The lattice panel was from Creative Embellishments. The label and word stamp were from Stampers Anonymous.

Alot of my photos seem to be vertical lately, so I rotated the sketch. Be sure to check out Stuck?!Sketches blog. There is alot of beautiful inspiration to be found. Thanks for stopping by.
