Nope Not Today

Hey everyone. I have an inspired by fashion challenge, from Scrapbook Your Joy, to share with you today. There were a number of Pinterest runway photos to draw inspiration from. I was inspired by the colours and white flowers in one of the dresses. I used an older collection from Simple Stories called '# Whatever' for this page of my daughter and grandson. What can I say. There's No Place Like Home

Hey everyone. I'm so excited to share my first layout as a guest designer for Scrapbook Your Joy!! They are an online scrapbook store out of Ontario. Today I'm using the 'Home Again' collection from Carta Bella. Love this line and Carta Bella!! I used lots of ephemera, frames and tags, enamel dots and chipboard stickers. The flowers and wreaths were fussy cut from pattern paper. I love the quote that was part of the cut apart strips and had to use it on this page.  Below are some close ups. Warm Hearts

Hey everyone. Hope you are enjoying the long weekend and were able to squeeze in a little crafting. I found this great sketch by Suzanna Lee on the Scrapbook Your Joy Inspirational Group on Facebook. I used the 'Snowball Fight' collection from Photoplay for this page of my daughter and grandson, all bundled up in the snow. The snowflakes were a cut file from Paige Evans. The Sweetest Thing

Hey everyone. I have a page today that is based on the March sketch at the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Community and the Throwback Challenge at the Scrapbook Your Joy Inspirational Group. I used Vicki's first collection from 2016 for this page. For the background I first applied watered down art crayons with the packaging technique. I allowed some of the colour to drip. On the yellow side I then applied dry art crayons with a stencil brush, through a stencil. On the red side I did the same with gold glaze. I then watered down the glaze and applied some splatters. Love how it turned out!! I cut the hearts out from paper that had been coloured with art crayons. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.
