All Bundled Up

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 15th sketch. I used Carta Bella's 'Warm & Cozy' pattern paper. For the background I stamped some circles using distress ink and a styrofoam cup. I then splattered some distress stain around. Finally I applied some modeling paste with a Tim Holtz snowflake stencil. Turned out rather well.

The cute little wood veneer snowflakes were from Studio Calico and the buttons were from my stash. Lots of stitching to finish things off.  Have a look at the SS blog as there is always a lot of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

You & Me

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created for Creative Scrappers' March sketch #304. I used pattern paper and stickers from Simple Stories' 'Love & Adore' collection. The flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper. I embossed half of the little wood veneer heart from Maya Road. The sequins were from Studio Calico and Teresa Collins. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap Our Stash March Sketch/Word Challenge

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's March sketch/word challenge. This is a photo of one of my daughter's dogs. She is such a happy little soul. The pattern paper and stickers were from Carta Bella's 'Flora' collection. Such a pretty line.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch and for the word challenge I used the following:
C: Carta Bella
H: hemp, hearts
A: alpha stickers
R: Recollections (card stock)
M: mixed media (gesso, inks and sprays used on the background)

Below are some close ups and the sketch. Make sure to check out SOS's blog for lots of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Dream Big

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 1st sketch. The pattern papers, diecuts, stickers and chipboard buttons all came from Bobunny's 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection.  For the background I applied gesso first and then added the watercolors. I used bundled sage distress ink as the green for the background. It is a very light green and is difficult to see in the picture..... but it is there. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Scrap Our Stash March Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hey everyone. Time for another Tic Tac Toe reveal for Scrap Our Stash. The photo is of my daughter and her boyfriend, Graeme, just before they headed out to their neighbors' Christmas gathering. The pattern paper, diecuts and stickers were from PhotoPlay's 'Holiday Cheer' collection. The flair button was from My Minds Eye. The snowflakes were cut using one of Spellbinders' 'Create A Flake' sets and the doilie was cut using one of Tim Holtz's dies from Sizzix.

For the background, I applied gesso first and then the watercolors using the packaging tachnique. Gold color shine was splattered at the very end. For the tic tac toe challenge, I used the vertical row in the middle: striped paper, gold and flair. The sketch was from Creative Scrappers' 'Creating With Sketches Volume 4'.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to have a look at the SOS blog for a ton of inspiration!!!
