Sketchabilities Sketch #103

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Sketchabilities #103 sketch. I used Basic Grey's 'Carte Postale' collection. The pattern paper, metal clip, snippets, chipboard button and letter stickers are all from the collection. For the background I lightly brushed some gesso on. Once that dried I sprayed some distress stain on and then wiped it with a damp paper towel. I then splattered some of the distress satin and made some big splats with the dabber. The picture is one my daughter took when out whale watching with her father. After several trips they finally saw an Orca whale. One check off the bucket list!! Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

My Mind's Eye November Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone. Here's my entry to My Mind's Eye November sketch challenge. I used the 'Collectable - Remarkable' line/brads. I white washed the back ground sheet with gesso and once everything was attached I brushed a little more over some of the pieces. For the title, I cut 3 pieces of each number and glued them together to give the impression of chipboard. I then covered them with glossy accents. Below are some close ups. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #255

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrappers #255 sketch. I used Bobunny's 'Autumn Song' paper line and pearls/bling. I also embossed using one of their stamps. The little heart was cut from cardboard and then painted with crackle paint from Ranger.  The distress ink was also from Ranger and the embossing powder from WOW.The burlap sheet was from prima. The picture was taken in our garden and its of a new variety of sunflower. I think we need to plant many more of these!!! Below are some close ups and a copy of the sketch. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.           Michelle

Those Eyes

Hey everyone. Here's another class I taught at Shabby Shutters. I used Basic Grey's 'Hipster' collection. The roses were made using Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and the hexagons were cut using their hexagon dies. I also used Epiphany Crafts hexagon punch and bubble caps to make the little hexagon epoxy embellishments. Some bling, splatters and stitching completed the page. The layout is based on a sketch from Scrapbooking and Cards Today.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.
