Just Bee You

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the colour tic tac toe board at The Studio Challenges. I went with the teal, grey and pink column. The teal colour I used is a bit darker then the teal on the board. I also used some yellow because of the yellow in my photos. I used Maggie Holmes 'Marigold' line from Crate Paper for this page of my daughter. For the background I mixed some art crayons with water and then applied them with the packaging technique. I then applied some dry art crayon with a stencil brush through a stencil. Lots of splatters were then added. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

My Kind of Day

Hey everyone. I have my take on this month's sketch at The Studio Challenges to share with you today. Because it's February it features lots of hearts. I used Vicki Boutin's 'Color Kaleidoscope' collection for this page. All of the hearts and butterflies were fussy cut from pattern paper. Below is the sketch and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Wild and Free

Hey everyone. This week's challenge at The Studio Challenges is a handwritten journaling challenge. I usually handwrite my journaling, but I know a lot of people don't. I used Echo Park Paper's 'Little Lumber Jack' collection for this page of my grandson exploring outside. It was the perfect line to use. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Family

Hey everyone. I love pattern paper, so this weeks challenge at The Studio Challenges was especially fitting. You were to use at least 5 different pattern papers on your layout. I was able to use 8. I used an older collection from Fancy Pants, called 'Golden Days'. For the background I applied some watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then applied some ink through a stencil with a blending tool. The photo is one my daughter took at Thanksgiving dinner last year. Below are some close ups . Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn's In The Air

Hey everyone. This week's challenge at The Studio Challenges is a beautiful autumn mood board challenge. I used an older collection from Photoplay Paper called 'Falling Leaves'. It matched the photos of these sunflowers perfectly. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I then added some stencil stamping. The leaves were cut with a Prima die. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Baby Boy

Hey everyone. I have a recipe challenge from The Studio Challenges to share with you. I was able to use all the items which were tags (behind the photo), a stamp (dots and alphabet), 3 or more patterned papers, a punch (scallop border), washi tape and puffy stickers (word and alphas). I used Echo Park Paper's 'Baby Boy' collection for this page of the first photo of my new grandson. So excited to have this little sweetie join the family. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then stamped with the ink. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Perfect Photo Op

Hey everyone. Here's the last CSI file I solved for the month of August. It's cold case file #329. Some of the product clues I used are use older product ( My Mind's Eye collections from 2014 ), use diamonds, dots and stripes, use metal accents and hot air balloons. From the design clues I used create banners, use tearing, stitch a pattern and go wild with mixed media. These challenges are so fun. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Brother

Hey everyone. Time for another challenge from The Studio Challenges. This time we were to create a layout about someone special in your life. I, of course, decided to create a page of my two grandsons. They are so sweet and adorable. I am so grateful and blessed to be their Gaga. I used a collection from Photo Play Paper called 'We Are Family'. This is such a beautiful line and perfect for any family photos. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then with stencil stamping. Lots of splatters followed. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Splish Splash

Hey everyone. Here's the second case file I solved as a Special Investigator with the CSI team. It's case file #328. From the evidence elements I used plain card stock, summer or beach themed elements, circular elements and signs. From the testimony elements I used the topic to document a visit to a body of water and relax from the inspiration words. I used the 'Sunshine & Blue Skies' collection from Simple Stories for this page of my grandson enjoying a beautiful summer day at my brother's pool. The cut file was from Cut To You. Check out the CSI blog HERE. Below is the case file and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.
