Another Valentine Layout

Hey everyone. Here's another layout in honor of Valentine's Day. The pictures are of my daughter and her horse. Since her boyfriend was working  away on February 14th, Hugo stepped in and was her Valentine for the day. To say that they love each other is an understatement. This was also a class taught at Shabby Shutters. The paper, buttons and chipboard stickers used are from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 3 collection. I am a big fan of My Mind's Eye. Beautiful stuff.

The hearts were cut from packaging, embossed and then painted with acrylic paints. I used Claudine Hellmuth's paints. The layout was inspired from a PageMaps sketch from November 2012. Hope you like it.

Valentine's Day Layout

 

Hey everyone. I'm on a roll. Two posts in one day!! This layout was a class I taught at Shabby Shutters for Valentine's Day. I used the absolute gorgeous Prima 'Romance Novel Collection' paper and wood clips. The roses were made from Spellbinder's 'Bitty Blossoms'. The little envelope was actually cut from a piece of pattern paper. You never know what you will find on paper these days.
The inks and spray ink were from Ranger. The bling from Doodlebug Design.

 

The inspiration for this layout came from a sketch seen on 'Creative Scrappers' blog.  Hope you like it.

'Cousins' layout

Hey everyone. Welcome to my blog and my first official post!! In the following layout I used Teresa Collins beautiful 'Christmas Cottage' paper line and washi tape. The snowflakes were diecut using Spellbinders 'Create a Flake 4'. The wooden snowflakes are from Kaiser Craft and the bling is from doodlebug design.

 

Here is a close up of the diecuts and cute little wooden snowflakes. Love them!!!

 

 

Inspiration for this layout came from a layout seen in 'Creating Keepsakes' Jan/Feb 2013 issue. Everything from purchased from Shabby Shutters of course!!! Hope you like it!!!

About me

I was introduced to scrapbooking  many years ago from someone who was running a home based scrapbooking business.  Never would I have thought 10+ years later that I would be so hooked on papercrafting.

Over those years my style as well as the products and tools I use have changed. The one thing that has never changed was how well a memory could be saved or a story could be told just by laying pictures to paper and saying a few words.

For the last 2 years I've been encouraged to share my own inspirations and skills with others as a designer and teacher for Shabby Shutters, A Paper Crafter's Paradise & More, in Antigonish Nova Scotia.

I decided to start a blog so I could gather my work in one place that I can call "home". I'm always interested to hear your views and thoughts and I hope I can inspire you in some small way.
