Live Color Fully

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the May blend a sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I was inspired by the large circle element from the left sketch and the brackets and diagonal piece from the bottom of the right sketch. For the wood veneer pieces I used a mixture from Kaiser Craft and Jillibean Soup. For the background I used acrylic paints from Vicki Boutin. I first painted a circle on a large piece of plastic packaging. I then stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock. The 'Good Vibes' collection from Simple Stories was perfect for this photo of my niece and her friends. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Love This

Hey everyone. I have a layout to share that is based on the May challenges at The Studio Challenges and Cuts2Luv.  At The Studio Challenges one of their May challenges was to use stencils or masks on your layout. At Cuts2Luv you were to choose 2 items from the mood board. I used all but one. I used the 'Bohemian Dream' collection from Cocoa Vanilla for this layout of my daughter and her little family. This line is so pretty. I used a stencil from Carta Bella to apply modelling paste. The water color background was made using distress ink. Below are some close ups and the mood board. Thanks for stopping by.

Purrfect

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's May Golden Globe Challenge. The challenge was to create a layout about a pet or animal. The movie featured this month was The Lion King so this inspired me to create a layout about cats. I decided to scrap these photos of my grandson and his favourite cat. Of the three cats in their house, Oscare was the last one my daughter thought would be so good with Finn. The stash part of the challenge was to use animal paper or embellishments. I used a line from My Mind's Eye called 'Meow' which was purrfect for my page. I used a mixture of Vicki Boutin art crayons and distress ink for the background. I was also inspired by a sketch by Laura Whitaker. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Be sure to check out the SOS blog for a ton of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Easter Bunny

Hey everyone. I'm a little behind on my blog posts. This layout is based on Scrap Our Stash's April blend a sketch challenge. The photos are of my grandson meeting the Easter Bunny for the first time. There is no fear in this little fellow. He even tried to pull the bunny's whiskers!!! I used Photoplay's 'Easter Blessings' for this page. I used distress paint and a stencil from Carta Bella for the background. For the challenge I took the circle elements from the right sketch and added them to the left sketch. There are polka dots on the letter E, the frame and one of the flowers. I also used enamel dots. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
