You Feel Like Sunshine

Hey everyone. I have my take on the colour palette challenge over at The Studio Challenges, to share with you today. I will admit that I had a hard time with this challenge. I love the colours but had a hard time finding just them in my stash. I finally came across the 'Simple & Sweet' collection by Pinkfresh Studio, which ended up working perfectly. Make sure to check out TSC blog as there is a ton of inspiration to be found. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Kayaking Fun

Hey everyone. Happy Saturday!! I have my take on this month's Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge from Scrap Our Stash. I dug into my stash to find this collection from My Mind's Eye called 'Happy Camper'. I picked the left side of the sketch and used washi tape from Basic Grey. I really love the double sketch and had a ton of pictures from kayaking so I decided to create a double page. Below are some close ups, the challenge and the other half of my page. Thanks for stopping by.

The Sweetest Thing

Hey everyone. I have a page today that is based on the March sketch at the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Community and the Throwback Challenge at the Scrapbook Your Joy Inspirational Group. I used Vicki's first collection from 2016 for this page. For the background I first applied watered down art crayons with the packaging technique. I allowed some of the colour to drip. On the yellow side I then applied dry art crayons with a stencil brush, through a stencil. On the red side I did the same with gold glaze. I then watered down the glaze and applied some splatters. Love how it turned out!! I cut the hearts out from paper that had been coloured with art crayons. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

That's My Boy

Hey everyone. Over on The Studio Challenges blog today there is a fussy cutting challenge. I love fussy cutting!!! I usually fussy cut flowers so for this challenge I decided to find something else. The 'You Rock' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio contains a sheet of star pattern paper so I got out my scissors and started cutting!! For the background I added watered down art crayons with the packaging technique. I mixed different colours together to get the colour I was looking for. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Winter Fun

Hey everyone. Here's my take on March's Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Snoopy inspired me to create a page of my grandson and one of his dogs. I rotated the sketch due to my vertical photos. For the green embellishments I used a green ephemera frame as well as some green brads. I used Carta Bella's 'Let it Snow' collection for this layout. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with a brayer and then added splatters. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
