Catching Waves

Hey everyone. I started the background for this page about a year and a half ago at a crop. It had sat on my desk ever since. Recently I have slowly begun to "reorganize" and decided it had to be finished. I was having a little trouble with the type of embellishments to use, and this month's mood board at Cuts2Luv gave me some great ideas. From the mood board I used the following:

The pattern paper I used was from Authentique, and believe it or not, was a baby collection called 'Cuddle Boy'. The stamps and dies used to create the flowers were from Heartfelt Creations (Tropical Hibiscus). I colored the flowers and background with distress ink. I added prills and clear Wink of Stella to the flowers to jazz them up a bit. The wood veneer was from Creative Embellishments and I used embossing powder from Ranger and WOW! to emboss the wood pieces. Other products used were glitter paste from Bobunny, word stickers from Tim Holtz's Ideology line and enamel hearts from Bella Blvd. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers Volume 4 as well. You Rock

Hey everyone. Got a layout for you based on one of The Studio Challenges' September challenges. The challenge was to take inspiration from a book cover. 

From this cover I decided to do a layout with stars and to also use some gold. I had some pictures of my nephew who won a couple of awards, so stars seemed appropriate. I used Cocoa Vanilla's 'You Rock' collection. I love their products!!! The embellishments are to die for!! I embossed the small stars and the 'You Rock' wood veneer with ultra thick gold embossing powder from WOW!  I also splattered some gold color shine around the page. The stars were fussy cut from pattern paper. The page was also inspired from one of Stuck?!Sketches' August sketches. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

School Days

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Embellishments February Challenge.  I was inspired by the circular and metal elements in their picture. The twist was white space.  I broke up a 6x6 circular chipboard panel by Creative Embellishments. I then embossed it with WOW ultra thick embossing powder to give the pieces a metallic look.  I used beads in the centers of the flowers and the glimmer paste I splattered around also has a metallic look.

The flowers were made from the Delightful Daisy collection from Heartfelt Creations. The pattern papers used were from their Classic Sunflower collection.  I found the sketch on Pinterest and it was designed by Ana Castro.  You can find it below along with some more close ups and the photo inspiration. Creative Scrappers Sketch #255

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrappers #255 sketch. I used Bobunny's 'Autumn Song' paper line and pearls/bling. I also embossed using one of their stamps. The little heart was cut from cardboard and then painted with crackle paint from Ranger.  The distress ink was also from Ranger and the embossing powder from WOW.The burlap sheet was from prima. The picture was taken in our garden and its of a new variety of sunflower. I think we need to plant many more of these!!! Below are some close ups and a copy of the sketch. Winter Layout Class

Hey everyone. Here's a winter layout using We R Memory Keeper's 'Winter Frost' collection. I just love the colors!! The hexagons were cut using Spellbinder dies. The large snowflake was cut from chipboard painted with gesso and then covered with tissue paper. I then colored it with distress stain, more gesso and then sprinkled some dry glitter. The die used to cut the snowflake was from Sizzix. WOW embossing powder and dylusions spray also make an appearance.
