So Much Joy In This Little Boy

Hey everyone. I have my take on the November challenge from Scrap the Boys to share today. The challenge was to scrap a super hero in your life or use the graphic as inspiration. I decided to use the graphic as inspiration. I used the 'You Rock' line from Photoplay Paper and wood veneer stars from Jillibean Soup. Best Friend

Hey everyone. I have a layout to share with you today that is based on the June challenge at Scrap the Boys. The challenge was to create a layout of his best friend, of the furry variety. Finn has quite a few furry friends, but I would have to say that Lenny is his best friend. Never far from his side and always looking for head butts, Lenny is a great kitty. I used an older collection from Fancy Pants called 'Good Fellows' for this page. Watered down art crayons were used on the background. Below is the challenge and some close ups. Wonderful in Every Way

Hey everyone. I have a layout today for the Scrap the Boys May challenge. This challenge is celebrating Mother's Day. I chose a fun photo of my daughter and grandson. I used Photo Play Paper's 'Stuck On You' collection. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique. I then added some stamping, splatters and drips. Let's Stick Together

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the November You + Me = Love challenge at Scrap the Boys. The photo is of me and my grandson. I used PhotoPlay's 'Stuck on You' collection. This is such a fun line. For the background I applied some modelling paste through a Vicki Boutin stencil and then added watered down distress ink with a paint brush and the packaging technique. I also added splatters. So There's This Boy

Hey everyone. I have a layout based on the July challenge at Scrap the Boys. This month it's all about stars!!! I may have went a little crazy with them. I used Jillibean Soup's '2 Cool for School' collection for this page of my daughter and grandson. When I saw this journal card I knew I had to use it for my title. This little boy has definitely stolen a few hearts. I love the colors in this line. Navy and tourquoise, with pops of green, is a new fav. For the background I applied distress ink with the packaging technique. I then added the stars by using a stencil and blending tool. Splatters in all three colors followed. Hey everyone. I have a layout based on Scrap the Boys' April challenge to use geometric shapes. I used lots of triangles as well as squares, rectangles and circles. I used Jillibean Soup's 'Hardy Hodgepodge' for this page of my grandson and his Daddy. Love the colors in this line. For the background I used a combination of distress ink and oxides. Baby Blues

Hey everyone. Happy Easter!!! I have a layout today, based on the March sketch challenge at Scrap the Boys. I used Carta Bella's 'Toybox' collection for this page of my little grandson. He has the biggest blue eyes!!

The title was cut from a piece of pattern paper with alphabet blocks.

For the background I applied the blue with the packaging technique but tried something a little different with the green. I added some color to a stencil and used it as a stamp. If you look closely you can see some small green circles over the layout.

Hey everyone.  Here's a layout based on the first February 15th sketch at Stuck?!Sketches and the great outdoors February challenge at Scrap the Boys. The photo is of my daughter and grandson exploring around their farm and hanging with her horse, Hugo. Part of the challenge was to be inspired by the words explore, dream and discover, so I used explore for the title. Dear Santa

Hey everyone. Here’s my take on Scrap Our Stash's new blend a sketch challenge. I will have to admit I had some trouble with this, and it came out totally different than I had originally planned. I used the layout of the second sketch, and the dotted semicircle on the first sketch inspired me to add the ornament banners. You just never know what parts of a sketch will inspire you. For the rhinestone part of the challenge, I scattered some around the flower clusters. I just love these photos of my grandson meeting Santa. He wasn’t scared at all and even pulled his beard!! 

I used an older collection from Pink Paislee called 'Snow Village' for this page. The tiny ornaments and flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper. I was also inspired by the January challenge at Scrap the Boys. This month's challenge is to use flowers on a boy's layout. Make sure to check out both blogs for a ton of inspiration. Oh Christmas Tree

Hey everyone. Got a layout for you based on three different challenges. At Scrap the Boys, the challenge was to use a picture of a multi-colored Christmas tree as inspiration. At The Studio Challenges, you were to use things that sparkled and shined. I also used the December 15th sketch at Stuck?!Sketches. From the picture I decided to go with a Christmas theme and to use a tree as a focal point on my page, which fit in perfectly with the sketch. For the sparkle and shine, I used tinsel color shine and strips of pattern paper that had a bit of glitter on it. I used an older collection from My Mind's Eye called 'Joyous'. I had several rolls of washi tape belonging to this line, so I decided to create a tree with them. It turned out quite well I think. I fussy cut the Santa and bluish snowflakes, as well as the small strips of paper with a glittery border. The photo is of my grandson getting his first look at a Christmas tree. Pretty sweet!!
