 Hey everyone. Time for another challenge from The Studio Challenges. This time we were to create a layout about someone special in your life. I, of course, decided to create a page of my two grandsons. They are so sweet and adorable. I am so grateful and blessed to be their Gaga. I used a collection from Photo Play Paper called 'We Are Family'. This is such a beautiful line and perfect for any family photos. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then with stencil stamping. Lots of splatters followed. Below are some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Splish Splash

 Hey everyone. Here's the second case file I solved as a Special Investigator with the CSI team. It's case file #328. From the evidence elements I used plain card stock, summer or beach themed elements, circular elements and signs. From the testimony elements I used the topic to document a visit to a body of water and relax from the inspiration words. I used the 'Sunshine & Blue Skies' collection from Simple Stories for this page of my grandson enjoying a beautiful summer day at my brother's pool. The cut file was from Cut To You. Together We Have It All

 

Hey everyone. I have this month's sketch challenge from The Studio Challenges to share with you. I used Simple Stories 'So Happy Together' collection for this layout of my daughter and her little family. For the background I applied modelling paste through a stencil and then added watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and a brush. Below is the sketch and some close ups. I'll Go Anywhere With You

 

Hey everyone. I'm super excited to announce that I was asked to be a Special Investigator on the CSI team for the month of August. You can check out their blog post HERE. The first case I solved was case file # 327. I used the 'On Our Way' collection from Fancy Pants for this page. From the evidence elements I used stripes, map print, grid pattern, check pattern, cork, travel themed elements, metal, sunglasses, cursive font, camera and borders. Honey Bee

Hey everyone.  For this week's challenge at The Studio Challenges you were to use stamps as the main feature on your layout. I stamped flowers using distress oxide ink and then using a water brush I blended out the colour. I am really loving this technique. I also stamped the word phrases. Snow Much Fun

Hey everyone. I have my take on this week's challenge at The Studio Challenges to share with you today. It's a mood board challenge. I had been wanting to create a layout with these photos and paper line for awhile now, and the mood board matched perfectly. I used Pinkfresh Studio's 'Noteworthy' collection for this page of my grandson, niece and nephew. They has such a blast that day. For the background I tried a new technique from Missy Whidden. I first applied watered down distress oxide with the packaging technique. I then stamped some snowflakes with distress oxide and using a water brush I moved alot of the colour around for a more water colour effect. Love how it turned out and can't wait to try this with some floral stamps. The cut file was from Kim Watson, created for Hip Kit Club.  Below are some close ups and the mood board. A World to Wander

Hey everyone. There's a slanted challenge at The Studio Challenges today where you are to use slants and angles on your pages. I cut the background paper on a slant and tilted the butterflies on my page. If you look closely the stencil pattern on the background is also slanted. I used the Vintage Great Escape collection from Simple Stories for this layout of my grandson. He loves to be outside. There is a little brook beside his house that he loves to through rocks and sticks in for his dog to fetch. For the background I applied a few layers. The first was watered down distress ink applied with the packaging technique. I then stencil stamped with distress paint and stamped with distress ink.
