Hand Mum Mum

Hey everyone. The Studio Challenges has a Take Five challenge this week. The five items are enamel dots/shapes, chipboard alphas, the colour orange, thread/stitching and stamps. I used pattern paper with the colour orange, enamel dots, chipboard Thickers for part of the title, and machine stitching around the border. For the stamp portion of the challenge I used a label stamp from Stamper's Anonymous and added word stickers to them. I used Simple Stories' ' Happy Trails' collection for this page. That's My Boy

Hey everyone. Over on The Studio Challenges blog today there is a fussy cutting challenge. I love fussy cutting!!! I usually fussy cut flowers so for this challenge I decided to find something else. The 'You Rock' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio contains a sheet of star pattern paper so I got out my scissors and started cutting!! For the background I added watered down art crayons with the packaging technique. I mixed different colours together to get the colour I was looking for. Below are some close ups. Winter Fun

Hey everyone. Here's my take on March's Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Snoopy inspired me to create a page of my grandson and one of his dogs. I rotated the sketch due to my vertical photos. For the green embellishments I used a green ephemera frame as well as some green brads. I used Carta Bella's 'Let it Snow' collection for this layout. Hello Little Prince

Hey everyone. I’m back with another Blend-A-Sketch challenge from Scrap Our Stash. I love both sketches and wanted to use as much as possible from both, so I simply took the right sketch and added it to the background of the left sketch. I also added a cluster at the bottom for a bit of journaling. For the stash part of the challenge I used some diagonal striped paper as a layer under my photos. On the Move

Hey everyone. I have my take on this month’s Blend A Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash to share with you today. I used Echo Park Paper's ' Good Day Sunshine' collection for this page of my grandson exploring outside. This line is perfect for summer layouts. For the background I first applied modeling paste through a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop. I then applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and with a brush. Once dry I stamped some circles with a styrofoam cup. The flower clusters were fussy cut from pattern paper. The diagonal pinwheel strips inspired me to make actual pinwheels, with brads for the centers. For the challenge I took the sketch from the right, flipped it and placed it on the diagonal element from the left sketch. Loved how it turned out. So There's This Boy

Hey everyone. I have a layout based on the July challenge at Scrap the Boys. This month it's all about stars!!! I may have went a little crazy with them. I used Jillibean Soup's '2 Cool for School' collection for this page of my daughter and grandson. When I saw this journal card I knew I had to use it for my title. This little boy has definitely stolen a few hearts. I love the colors in this line. Navy and tourquoise, with pops of green, is a new fav. For the background I applied distress ink with the packaging technique. I then added the stars by using a stencil and blending tool. Splatters in all three colors followed. Hey everyone. Got a layout for you based on Cuts2Luv's and Scrap the Boys' November challenges. Scrap the Boys is a new challenge site for me. I haven't scrapped alot of masculine layouts in the past, but now that I have an adorable little grandson, that's going to change!! Lots of texture on this page with corrugated cardboard, staples, wood veneer stars, stitching, puffy stickers and filmstrips. For the Cuts2Luv challenge I followed the sketch and used the pattern stripes. The Scrap the Boys challenge was to follow a moodboard of green, black, orange and kraft. The first thing I thought of when I saw the moodboard, was the 'Good Fellows' collection of Fancy Pants which fit perfectly. Below are some close ups and the challenges. Thanks for stopping by.

All Bundled Up

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 15th sketch. I used Carta Bella's 'Warm & Cozy' pattern paper. For the background I stamped some circles using distress ink and a styrofoam cup. I then splattered some distress stain around. Finally I applied some modeling paste with a Tim Holtz snowflake stencil. Turned out rather well.

The cute little wood veneer snowflakes were from Studio Calico and the buttons were from my stash. Lots of stitching to finish things off.  Have a look at the SS blog as there is always a lot of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created for Creative Scrappers' March sketch #304. I used pattern paper and stickers from Simple Stories' 'Love & Adore' collection. The flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper. I embossed half of the little wood veneer heart from Maya Road. The sequins were from Studio Calico and Teresa Collins. Scrap Our Stash February Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge

Hey everyone. I got another reveal for Scrap Our Stash. This is for their February tic tac toe stash challenge. I decided to use the vertical row in the middle: polka dot paper, hearts and glitter. For the polka dot paper, I used Bobunny double dot paper for the scallop border and as mats for the word stickers. It's a little hard to see. As for the glitter, I couldn't resist covering all the snowflakes in distress glitter. So fun!! The wood veneer snowflakes and hearts were from Studio Calico. The pattern paper and stickers were from Kaiser Craft's 'Frosted' collection. I also applied some modelling paste with a stencil as well as some watercolor and splatters.
