Catching Waves

Hey everyone. I started the background for this page about a year and a half ago at a crop. It had sat on my desk ever since. Recently I have slowly begun to "reorganize" and decided it had to be finished. I was having a little trouble with the type of embellishments to use, and this month's mood board at Cuts2Luv gave me some great ideas. From the mood board I used the following:

The pattern paper I used was from Authentique, and believe it or not, was a baby collection called 'Cuddle Boy'. The stamps and dies used to create the flowers were from Heartfelt Creations (Tropical Hibiscus). I colored the flowers and background with distress ink. I added prills and clear Wink of Stella to the flowers to jazz them up a bit. The wood veneer was from Creative Embellishments and I used embossing powder from Ranger and WOW! to emboss the wood pieces. Other products used were glitter paste from Bobunny, word stickers from Tim Holtz's Ideology line and enamel hearts from Bella Blvd. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers Volume 4 as well. My Little Love

Hey everyone. Here’s my take on February’s Golden Globe Stash Challenge at Scrap Our Stash (I'm a little late posting. Oops!!). The page is of my grandson, my little love. I was inspired by the grid design so I based the layout on that. I used love in my title and wrapped some red twine around one edge of a frame. I used Bella Blvd's 'Mind Your Manners' collection and Vicki Boutin's art crayons on the background. Love the owls!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Together is Our Favorite Place

Hey everyone. Spent the weekend at an awesome crop and got lots done including this take on Stuck?!Sketches January 1st sketch. The photos are of my daughter and grandson at home, perfecting their selfie game. I used Bella Blvd's 'Mind Your Manners' collection. Those little owls are too cute!!

For the background I applied gesso and then using a piece of packaging added some color with Vicki Boutin's art crayons from American Crafts. I fussy cut a few owls and popped them up with foam squares.

Aye Aye Captain

Hey everyone.  Here's another great sketch/word challenge from Scrap Our Stash. The layout is of my nephew, out on his grandfather's boat. I received the Secrets of the Sea collection from Bella Blvd in a kit club, and wondered how I would use it. It was perfect for this layout!!! For the word challenge I used the following:

L : Lawn Fawn twine
E : ephemera
A : alphas
R : Ranger distress ink
N : navy blue
